PWA would like to share this great news.

It was amasing to see one of our member clubs host the World transplant Games Petanque events.

We are so blessed in having such a professional club put on such an amazing event, and deal with the logistical complexities from the regristrations to the facilitations of the games themselves. Again PWA would like to congratulate Subiaco Petanque club for its willingness, proffesionalism and show that WA can host what is one of the biggest events in Australiato date.

"Subiaco Pétanque Club was privileged to host the World Transplant Games on Monday and Tuesday of April 17 and 18. One hundred and seventy-five players from 26 countries who are predominantly recipients of donated organs but also players who have been donors took part. The spirit of competition was wonderful to see and the skill level of many was world class. Singles competitions were played on Monday. Competition continued Tuesday with doubles for the organ recipients and singles for donors. Medals were awarded to winners of their respective events. The club is honoured to have the opportunity to host this Pétanque event. Club members played a huge part in the successful running of the tournament in preparing the pistes, welcoming the players, planning the draw, recording results, and preparing refreshments."
