Nationals 2026 Advanced Notice.
Next year’s national Championships will be held at Novar Gardens Petanque Club again in Easter. Full Conditions of Play will be issued soon. However, to assist players with team selection and accommodation, etc., please note the following.
- There will be four events as per usual. Thursday Singles, Friday Mixed Doubles, Sat/Sun Doubles, Sun/Mon Triples
- There will be an Open category (any Age) and a 60+ Category in Men's and Women's Divisions (The Open Divisions now only include any age, not any age or gender)
- Eligibility to enter - A player must be an Australian citizen or have an Australian Permanent Resident Visa and hold a current Australian Player's Licence.
- Swiss System to be utilised in four qualifying rounds; All players will advance to the elimination rounds – Principale and Complémentaire.
This will be the last year for the Nationals at Novar Gardens. The format for National Titles beyond 2026 is under discussion. Suggestions are welcome.
